Valentine`s Day Hair Tutorial: The Twisted Ponytail

This year is the first out of the five years we’ve been together that I get to spend with my lovely. It’s going to be both an emotional and special time to say the least.

The twisted ponytail is a beautiful hairstyle which you can wear to any occasion but I thought it was cute enough as well as romantic to work for Valentine’s Day as well. To celebrate the occasion I am also putting together a few outfits to present to you. If you have any requests which you’d like to see feel free to post them on my Facebook Page.

         Start off with second day curls. This way the hair will stay put longer and the curls will be looser. 

Split the hair into two thirds (2/3) on one side and one third (1/3) on the other.

Then secure with a hair elastic.

For the one third you haven’t tied, start twisting the hair from the ear down.

Continue to do so until you reach the ends of the hair.

Start wrapping the twisted braid over the ponytail once, twice or even three times if your hair is long enough.

Mine wrapped around twice.

Pin the hair down using as many bobby pins as you need.

The last step (and this is optional) is to retouch your curs in case you want more definition.
